Cost-efficient 3D printing
Our systems are unique: they need neither a laser nor an electron beam to produce metal parts via additive manufacturing. Hence, they require neither complex real-time controlling nor a vacuum. This reduces the complexity of the machine and therefore significantly reduces both the cost of the machine and the maintenance costs.
Furthermore, our already very cost-efficient ExAM systems offer you the possibility to switch to a much more cost-efficient type of material. In contrast to other additive metal manufacturing processes, the ExAM systems do not work with spherical metal powder which is difficult to produce. Instead, the ExAM machines use a wide range of low-cost pellets designed for injection molding and we will gladly pass on this cost benefit to you as our customer!
In addition to the additive production of metal parts, the ExAM machines are also capable of producing plastic parts. The production of a good filament, which is often us ed in 3D printers, is an elaborate process and thus expensive. In contrast, the plastic pellets which we use are significantly cheaper. Furthermore, there are a number of plastics which cannot be produced at all or only very poorly as filaments. Especially when it comes to these materials, the ExAM machines can significantly reduce your costs while also offering you the option to produce metal parts on the same machine without the need of retrofitting.
